A Little Reminder
Haven’t you realised that
the beauty that you see in each flower petal
the awe you feel watching the sun rise
and set over the horizon…
The feelings you have within
that are invoked by
the rapture of a bird song
the freedom of the rain
the perfect blue of the sky
the sweet smell of the grass…
Don’t you yet know that
the laughter of children
the tears of joy
the expanse of your heart
as it holds all the love you have within…
Everything,
everything is but a reflection
of the perfection that is you.

Hi Li-ling – a good reminder to reflect on the fact that we’re good enough as we are. Everything is a reflection of mother nature, including us! When we are in the presence of beauty and awe, your poem reminds us to take it all in but also a good reminder we are that beauty and awe we see.
